Travel Info > Getting around the Kingdom of Tonga > Island Tours

Tongatapu is the cultural centre of Tonga and there’s plenty to see

The Island Tour normally includes the Royal Palace (from outside only), the Royal tombs, the famous and spectacular blow holes, the flying foxes at Kolavai, the Christian Landing Place, Captain Cook’s Landing place, the ancient terraced tombs, the Ha’amonga (archaeological sites) and natural bridge called Hufangalupe.

Most of these tour operators can be quite flexible with time, places to stop etc.

The culture of Tonga is real and is there for the visitors to the Kingdom to experience as Tongans go about their everyday life.

At the markets, in the shops, at the beaches and at the entertainment venues you see and feel what the Tongans see and feel. Nothing is purposely put on for the tourist. It is the way it is!
Enjoy a unique experience at one of these venues…
